50 Screws for many 3.5″ Hot Swap Drive Trays that need low profile heads (that generally screw in from the sides) These are not quite thin enough for the Supermicro sheet metal trays or others that put in screws from the bottom. Most of the time they need 1/4″ long screws Most of the caddys can use a standard flathead screw like this alternate auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380414549267&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT Some of the caddys are now made of sheet metal (instead of a casting) which need a lower profile head (since the sheetmetal is so thin). This auction is for the low profile flathead screws which are ‘undercut’ This means that material has been removed where the cone meets the thread so that more of the shaft is threaded (which makes the head thinner as shown in the second photo). This type of screw will also work in place of the normal flathead screw, however, its just more expensive.
