Shipping damages will require a shipping damage claim before a new item is shipped to the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer when signing for deliveries to make sure the product is free from visible damage prior to signing. Any damage or shortage must be noted in writing with the freight carrier before accepting shipment. If possible, customer should keep a copy of the noted damage or shortage for his/her records. If the damage is excessive the customer can refuse the shipment. Otherwise, National Tool Warehouse customer service will assist the customer in filing the freight claim for reimbursement from the carrier but any possible loss will be incurred by the customer.
