A Barry Collapsible bass drum from the 1920s. True 28-inch diameter, will fit standard modern heads and hoops. Includes all of its original parts minus the heads, original case, and has its original badge from a music store in Spokane, WA. Aluminum shell with wood reinforcements at the hinge points, aluminum hoops and flesh hoop strips, nickel over brass and steel hardware. Condition is mixed. One hoop is in good shape, the other has two broken joints as shown. It’s unclear if this is repairable. The tension rods are a bit bent up, nothing too dramatic, all the threads are good and all the wing nuts are original. Drum shell is quite good; no extra holes anywhere, in round, edges clean, no big dents, hinges and guide pegs good, wooden reinforcements fully intact and it folds and unfolds smoothly. General cosmetic wear, dirt and grime, it has not been cleaned in any way. The thin aluminum strips are for attaching a calf head to the hoops; all are present and fully intact. The original case is present as well but it is in very poor condition, with rips and missing portions. Price is for everything shown. Weight in the case (without heads) is approximately 15 pounds.
