This was among a box of other radios. I believe these are made in Germany, but am not positive. I inserted two fresh AA batteries and was only able to pick up the strong FM station in my local area, but not well. The strongest AM radio came in, but poorly. There is only static on shortwave bands.I couldn’t be sure if there was evidence of battery leakage or not. If there is, this could be the problem. In my opinion, there may be possibilities for this unit.Antenna is about 14″ long and not bent. This radio is sold as-is.
