Offered for sale is a vintage Lord Elgin wrist watch, ca. late 1940s or early 1950s. This watch features a 14k yellow gold filled Deco style square case, a 21-jewel caliber 556 manual wind movement, and a silver matte dial with gold applied hour markers and a subsidiary seconds hand at the 6 o’clock position. The case is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of normal wear. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial appears to be an older refinish of good quality. Overall, a presentable watch that is ready to wear in style or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. Size: 26mm wide x 38mm lug-to-lug. Signed case, dial, and movement. Fitted with a tan leather strap.
