Description [Used] Gibson Custom / Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue Aged Ice Tea 2003 [ 59 aged by Tom Murphy in 2003 The body top is aged by Tom Murphy, so it is a real figured guitar with a wild fleck that is sure to please connoisseurs. It is not a beautiful and luxurious top from any angle, but rather a wild impression as a tool and companion of a man who has been with him for many years. The wildness is boosted by the “Murphy Aged”. The weather check is reproduced in detail throughout, and the comparison with the current “Murphy Lab” is also very interesting. There is also a “TM” signature inside the control cavity, and it can be confirmed that it is a premium Murphy aged guitar. The mahogany wood on the back of the body is well cut, and the total weight is about 4.1 kg, which is an exquisite balance. The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in either the tightening or loosening direction. There are no string marks on the frets, and about 70% of them remain. The current string height is adjusted to about 2.0 mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret, and about 1.5 mm on the 1st string side. Although there is a feeling of use overall, the wonderful aging makes it feel natural and even dignified. The material, looks and sound not found in the current model are top-grade!
