***********FOR PARTS ONLY – The manual wind movement cannot be tested as the crown/stem separates. Although I’m not a watchmaker the movement looks incomplete. The bezel is missing.***********This vintage 1970’s Douglas Wolbrook has under the damaged crystal a near pristine glossy black “FRANCE” only signed dial. Majority, if not all, of the imperfections seen are on the crystal. The lume emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light. The bezel is missing. The chrome-plated case shows minor wear with no visible signs of brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS BACK ANTIMAGNETIC TESTED WATERRESISTANT 6 ATM. BASE METAL BEZEL.” The inside of the case back is stamped “WOLBROOK WATCH Co.” followed by “FRANCE.” The crystal needs to be replaced. The 1 jewel unadjusted France “WOOLBROOK WATCH” stamped manual wind movement cannot be tested as the crown/stem separates. Although I’m not a watchmaker the movement looks incomplete. This watch is being sold for parts only. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the tube, approximately 38 mm including the tube and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 12 mm. This watch is being sold for parts only. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now.
