Vintage Hand Made Tilso Art Nouveau to Art Deco White Ivory Epergne Bowl Vase Set – Grape Cluster Bowl and 3 Trumpet Flower Horns – Hand Made Tilso Art Pottery Japan This beautiful Art Pottery Epergne is in excellent to near mint condition. I find no major problems. No cracks/hairlines, scratches, dullness/discoloration or repairs. However there is a tiny hidden chip way down inside ( along the bottom edge that flares out down inside one of the trumpets and this not readily seen – have to hunt for it, otherwise its perfect). The bowl pattern is raised/relief grape clusters, vines and leaves. Bowl is scalloped with a pie crust like crimp. Has 3 blooming trumpets vine horns with the same crimp pattern and grape vine leaves on the stems, The pegged trumpet horns are held with cork rings on the bottom ends – very secure. The stickers read; “Japan”. This is hand made/crafted by Japan. Although the stickers only read Japan – this is a Tilso from Art Nouveau to Art Deco era piece of Fine Art Pottery. White, smooth, very glossy and GORGEOUS. Size is 8 1/2″ tall and the bowl is 9″ wide/across top. Weighs over 2 lb. This will certainly compliment the table as the main centerpiece. It’s very showy.
